Our Story
Komal's Sweets is more than just a sweet shop – it is a legacy of taste, tradition, and heritage. Our story began in 1909, when Shivanna Shet started selling sweets on his humble cycle. What began as a nameless venture soon grew into something bigger, thanks to Mr. Vithoba Nagvekar, who gave this beloved business its identity. It was called Komal’s Sweets.
Over the decades, Komal's became a name synonymous with premium sweets and authentic craftsmanship in Mangalore. Today, under the guidance and ownership of Mr. Ganesh Nagvekar, the fourth generation carries forward this century-old tradition with devotion.
Through the years, we have perfected our recipes, but our signature halwas remain the pride of Komal's. The Banana Halwa, the indulgent Dry Fruit Halwa, and the rich, golden Wheat Halwa are cherished as the true taste of Mangalore.
Today, we make the Finest Sweets of Mangalore – sweets that carry the warmth of tradition and the richness of heritage. For more than a century, families have celebrated life’s sweetest moments with Komals, and we continue to honor that trust with every creation.
We are not just makers of sweets. We are Komal’s Sweets – Mangalore’s Finest Sweets Since 1909.
